DASH Diet Better For Teens In Zurich

Attention Zurich teens: The Dietary Approach to Stop Hypertension (DASH) helps prevent adolescent obesity, according to a recent study.¹

The study was published in the Archives of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine. The DASH diet includes low-fat dairy, chicken, lean, beef, chicken, nuts, fruits, whole grains, vegetables, and legumes.

Surprisingly, study participants who followed DASH actually ate, on average, 250 more calories than those who ate a typical teen diet: high-fat meats, cheeses, highly processed foods, and fast food meals.

Parents who emphasize a ‘calorie deficit’ plan for teen weight loss may want to consider focusing more on the quality of the foods eaten.

Now Is The Time To Improve Your Lifestyle In Zurich

Welcome to my Zurich entrepreneur blog. Today’s article is a bit philosophical. I want to talk about time. I would argue that time is more precious than almost anything else in life.

How are you managing your most valuable resource?

Are you working full-time for a corporation that may lay you off any day? Are you spending a lot of time training for a new Zurich career? Are you able to take the time necessary to nurture your relationships? When was the last time (there’s that word again) you spent a whole day playing?

I am Xarah. I run a Nuggets Direct Sales business from my Zurich home. I have been steadily building my Nuggets income-generating business since October 2008. Now that I have channels of residual income, the checks can come even if I take a three-week vacation with my family.

Sure, the money is great, but guess what I value more than the financial security? More Free Time. That’s right.

I am now living life on my own terms.

I spend several hours a week helping new Nuggets team members kick-start their home businesses. I absolutely love the challenge of helping Switzerland people create something unique and powerful in their life.

Other than supporting my Nuggets downline, I enjoy a lot of time with my spouse and kids. A lot. I know few Zurich corporate executives who have as much free time as I do.

How To Cite Sources On Your Zurich Home Business Blog

I mentor several Zurich entrepreneurs who have online home business blogs. Some of these home business owners are new to the online marketplace and are learning the principles of small business blogging. Today’s Zurich article explains how to cite third-party information in your home business blog.

Generally, it is permissible to include third-party information as long as you include a source reference. For example, if I wanted to include an excerpt from an article about a XoBiotics research study, I would cite the name of the article, the journal, the author, and the date. If I accessed it from a website, I would include that also.

Here is an example from webmd.com. The article: ‘Dark Chocolate Takes a Bite Out of Stress’ by Jennifer Warner is about a study conducted at the Nestle Research Center in Lausanne Switzerland. At the end of the article, the following paragraph is included: ‘The study appears in the Journal of Proteome Research and was conducted by researchers at the Nestle Research Center in Lausanne, Switzerland.’

Qualityhealth.com included an article by Tabby Biddle that also cites the Swiss study and several others. They cited their sources at the end of the article in the following format:

American Chemical Society. New evidence that dark chocolate helps ease emotional stress. ScienceDaily. http://www.sciencedaily.com /releases/2009/11/091111123612.htm. Accessed Dec. 7, 2009.

If you want to include material that is licensed, follow the appropriate procedure to obtain permission outlined by the owners of the content. Then be sure to let your readers know that you have permission by saying: ‘Reprinted by permission of so-and-so.’ Zurich home business bloggers who reprint information without permission damage their credibility and run the risk of legal action.
